‘I love you like a love song, baby’

Want to give your Valentine the gift of music this holiday? Look no further — the co-ed South Asian American a cappella group Anokha has promised a serenade nothing short of a duet between Fergie and Jesus.

For just $5, 15 serenading singers will ambush your loved one with either “Can’t Take my Eyes Off You” or “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” for 60 seconds.

“They tell us who they want it for and where and then we send them our available times and they choose it, and then we go to the place and surprise their friend or boyfriend or girlfriend,” said Pooja Singh, a junior computer science major and second-year Anokha member.

The Facebook event promises to “transform their life into Glee with an a cappella ambush,” and Singh said all proceeds will help support the group’s competitions.
And because “Anokha” means “unique” in Sanskrit, its Facebook page promises the Valentine’s Day event will be like nothing your significant other has ever experienced.
