Students and the City: Show tonight at the Barking Dog

If you’re looking to stay local this weekend, the Barking Dog is the place for you.

You’ve likely seen the scattered chalk drawings on the sidewalk or on the sides of various building, so now is your chance to fulfill your curiosity: Tonight, HandsDownMusic is presenting Ground Up with Michael Cameron & Uno Hype at the Barking Dog.

HandsDownMusic is a website created by students at this university and the University of Delaware to showcase new music and artists not many people know about. Its goal is to introduce the public to up-and-coming artists, while also providing updates on well-known musicians. It’s essentially a social media website revolved around music and includes access to music, videos and interviews from artists of all genres.

The coolest feature is definitely the interactive calendar, which allows the users to find and add events, concerts, and shows they know of at college campuses around the nation. Pictures and videos from those events can then be submitted to the site and displayed in the gallery.

Doors open at 9:30 tonight. The event is 18+ and $15 at the door.
